Relaxation with some Californication

On January 2, 2009, Taylor, Teri and I drove to California and stayed with my grandparents. We thought it'd be fun to get out of Salt Lake for a few days before we started school and we were right!

This guy accidently caught a little octopus while fishing and he pulled it out to have people hold before he threw it back into the water. Teri loved it!
Derek, Brittany, and Jack paid us a visit on Sunday afternoon. It was so good seeing them. Jack is so cute and just learning how to walk when we were there, but now he is walking!
On Sunday before Derek, Brittany and Jack came, we went to the San Clemente pier and walked some of the beach trail and pier.

Overall, we had a really good time cruising around the area and hanging out with family too. I'm glad we got to make the trip especially before we had to worry about school.

The Perfect End to a New Beginning: 2009

I stayed only a week at home in Connecticut and then came back to Utah to be with Taylor, friends and roommates. My roommates and I decided to have a New Years party at our house, nothing too big, but big enough to be fun!

Merry Christmas?

So I forgot to bring home my camera when I went home for Christmas. Well, I actually thought I lost it because my mother loves to help me pack and she stuffs things in random pockets (Thanksgiving time) and didn't tell me she stuffed my camera in a weird pocket of my backpack. 

Just to inform everyone, well this is mostly for my family, I took my boyfriend, Taylor's family pictures. The tradition lives on! So after they were done we did some for ourselves:

At Skyline High School's football stadium there is an amazing view of Mt. Olympus, but as you can see we couldn't fit it all. Too big of a mountain

The sunset was kind of behind us, but most of the pictures were over exposed so I just turned this one black and white, I liked how it turned out!

There's the sunset. We loaded this one onto a website and made it look really cheesy. To top it all off, we uploaded it onto facebook and posted it on all our friends walls...they loved it!

Thanksgiving in Connecticut

Britton and Callie picked me up from the airport and this is what my house looked like when I arrived. My mom gave the cheerleaders permission to TP our house because the next day was Sean's big game.

Lyndsey Quinn was at the Turkey Bowl, I spent the whole game with her. It was really good to see her. She was rooting for her brother, Nate, the star quarterback of the team.

Concerts

On October 16, my best friend Britton Billik came into Salt Lake. He was the tour manager for a band called The Cab and was on tour with The Plain White T's, Dashboard Confessional, and Panic at the Disco. Callie drove up from Provo the night before and slept over so we could go see Britton togher. Taylor came along too.  It was soo good to see Britton and Callie I don't see very often either. It was nice being with my 3 best friends.

The next week on the 21st was Sing It Loud, Hit the Lights, Forever the Sickest Kids, and Cobra Starship. Callie came up from Provo with her roommate Jessie and I met her there with my boyfriend, Taylor. I got to say hi to Ben, Nate, and Pat from Sing It Loud, it was soo good seeing those guys again. Ben hung out with us during a couple of the other bands sets, it was nice catching up with him.

Birthday Weekends

This year my birthday was over a weekend and I went home to Connecticut for it to celebrate with Mom, Dad, Sean, Aaron and JP. Taylor's 19th birthday is exactly a week after mine and unfortunately I was sick over that weekend so I couldn't do anything special for him, but we did have a combined birthday party in Park City at my friend Aidan's condo. The one I lived at over the summer. Taylor and our good friend Brady have the same birthday so we included him on the festivities. To start the night off I got a bunch of friends up to Park City to enjoy a delicious dinner at Red Rock. Me, Steph, Brit, Teri, Aidan, Shanny, Chris, and John all came up for dinner (below) John in the background and me making a sexy face :) Steph's arm in the way.
